What sets it apart? It's ruled by evil.
Farland is a world that has been conquered by evil. It has been sundered into seven kingdoms, each ruled by an evil lord who personifies one of the seven deadly sins. These beings, called the Seven Deadly Lords or the Lords of Sin, hold the land in a dark grasp. In the conquered kingdoms, the Lords of Sin enslaved the population and made their primary activity in life the glorification of the Dark God Vornoth. Farland is an evil place, but take heart, for not all is lost-- light glimmers in the West. A rebellion has broken out, and several kingdoms have been freed, although they are teetering on the brink of collapse, and all out war with the dark powers is looming....

This is a lot of content! Can I get this in book form? Now you can!
The fans demanded it, so we delivered! Now you can purchase digital and hardcover books so that you have all of your Farland content in one place, accessible at your fingertips even when you aren't online. Plus, our new publications contain exclusive content not available on the website! You can get the World of Farland Players Guide; it contains original Farland races, class options, background and customization material, equipment, spells, a players' map, and more!
You can also get the World of Farland Game Master's Handbook! It presents all of the compiled material for GMs from the website, plus exclusive new content, like new monsters and magic items, not here on the website. It also includes setting history, metaphysics and the planes, monsters, magic items, and guidance for running campaigns set in a world conquered by evil and ruled by the Lords of Sin (including detailed stats of the Deadly Lords). It also comes with a Game Master's map!
The World of Farland Campaign Setting compendium is now available! If you want to play in the World of Farland, but you want something other than the traditional European-style fantasy experience, try The World of Farland: Realms Under Shadow. It allows you to play in other parts of the world that have cultures more reminiscent of medieval Asia, India, or Africa, but of course with an original twist. And it comes with two detailed regional maps!
And if you want a slightly different Farland experience, check out our World of Farland: War of Immortals Prequel Campaign Setting! This book is set in the distant past of Farland, when human culture was barely developing and elves and dwarves fought for the very fate of their civilizations. This book (available in a digital and hardcover version) contains two full-length adventures, as well as tons of other useful stuff.
Our mega-adventure World of Farland: Death Rising provides a mini-campaign for medium to high-level PCs. It's set in an ancient desert kingdom haunted by Mummy Lords, and it comes with tons of maps formatted for print and VTT!

What if I play D&D but I don't play 5th Edition? Farland has you covered.
There is also a version of Farland that uses the 3.5 Edition rules, the 4th Edition rules, and the 2024 D&D rules. All of these sites have a long history on the web and are every bit as detailed as the 5E site, although only the 2024 site is updated.
